Portable Appliance Testing (P.A.T.)

Portable Appliance Testing (P.A.T.) is the routine testing and inspection of electrical appliances and equipment to ensure that they are safe to use. This is undertaken by businesses to ensure Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 compliance.

All portable appliances with a mains plug require testing, these include:

We provide electrical testing, inspection and certification for local businesses throughout Suffolk. We perform a number of tests on each appliance including:

• Full visual inspection
• Insulation test
• Earth continuity test
• Earth leakage test

Each item tested is labelled and marked as Passed or Failed. At completion of testing we provide full documentation for your records.

All testing engineers are City & Guilds qualified.
